Thoughts Flow and Emotions Come and Go

🌟Observe Your thoughts and Find The State of Freedom

Free from restlessness. Full of energy.
Free from anxiety. Full of peace.

 Observing the Mind

When you sit quietly and observe your mind closely, you may have noticed that sometimes the stream of thoughts is fast and sometimes it is slow. Sometimes you get stuck with one or more thoughts; they keep coming back to you repeatedly. And you have no way but to follow and think about them. You try to push them away, you try harder, but that doesn’t work.

đź’ Thoughts and Emotions

Thinking generates emotions. A strong thought can generate strong emotion. All your emotions are associated with thoughts. Dealing with this strong thought can bring you freedom over emotions.

The River of Thoughts

Imagine a river of thoughts—you are sitting beside the river. You keep watching the river flowing. One after another, thoughts are flowing. If you jump into the river of thoughts and try to stop the flow, it will be considered an act of foolishness. But sitting beside the river of thoughts, when you keep watching the flow, thoughts keep passing you, and you pick your desirable thoughts. Those thoughts generate emotions you want to have. And finally, those emotions push you to take action towards your goal.

Where Do Thoughts Come From?

You have already noticed, thoughts don’t come from nowhere. They come from inside. Your experiences, contact with reality, surroundings, beliefs, fears, and desires create the thoughts. And you have also noticed that negative thoughts are more sticky and powerful than positive thoughts. It’s because of evolutionary effects—humans are designed to respond more when it is a matter of survival than when it is a matter of betterment. Sometimes, it seems that this thought is no longer related to me, so where does it come from? It may be hidden in your deep unconscious mind and hard to identify. All your thoughts are permutations and combinations of inner hidden information stored in your mind.

So, if you continuously feed your inner mind with negative information, You will have negative thoughts. On the other hand if you feed yourself with positive information. Your desire related information you will have your desire related thoughts. Eventually your actions will be towards the path to fulfill your desire.

🌀 Let It Flow

Allowing your thoughts to flow without any resistance is the thing that can change your life—and the perspective of your world. Your thoughts create emotions. No action can be taken without thought. Whatever you do, whatever you feel, is all because of thoughts. Similarly, this is applicable to all humans. So, people around you are also taking actions on the basis of their thoughts. Thoughts shape people’s lives, their actions, and their emotions. So, if you know your thoughts better—how they form, how they work inside you—you can change yourself and also influence your surroundings too.

✨ The Magic of Stillness

When you allow your thoughts to flow freely and observe, the magic happens slowly. You begin to change. You notice how much unnecessary work you used to do, how many unnecessary burdens you are carrying. You clearly see the world as it is. You take decisions on the basis of reality—what changes you need to make with simple actions, what you actually need, and what you actually want. What makes you happy, why you are sad. You find that the anger inside you is just an illusion. You don’t need to hold it anymore. So, you take actions towards your goal.

Common Questions

So, you are telling me to sit quietly all day?
No, just 10 minutes a day may be enough. But give it a long span of time. You may notice the changes in a year or less.

But, I found it is very hard to sit quietly and do nothing.
Yes, sometimes it is hard and sometimes it is easy. You just need to start. In the beginning, it will feel hard. Make it a habit. It will become easy. Very soon, you will fall in love with sitting alone quietly and observing your mind.

Sometimes I feel all negative feelings are accumulating in my mind, just by sitting for some moment.
By sitting quietly and doing nothing, you are not creating any negative thoughts. All those negative feelings were already stored in your mind. You just need to acknowledge those. They will change. Don’t try to escape—feel the pain to get freedom. Emotions will come and eventually will go. They are like uninvited guests. They will leave when you completely accept them. Trust in the nature of change. Nothing lasts forever.

The Result of Practice

By practicing every day, you will become an expert at observing your mind and emotions. You will see how they are controlling all your life’s actions. You will actually know what you need, what you want. You will be free from unnecessary rabbit-like movement. You will do what you want to do.

You will set your goals you actually want to have. You take actions on the basis of reality not on the illusions or assumptions created by the society or false beliefs. You build habits which are designed to achieve your goal. Little by little, you finally get what you actually want to have.
